  • What level of fitness is required?
You need a certain level of fitness to sail with us. The boat's angle and wave motion require you to move safely onboard. If you're unsure, please get in touch to discuss your concerns.
  • Does Noonmark have Wi-Fi?
Whilst many people want to get away from all communications when taking a holiday such as this, we are also aware that for many, the ability to check in with work or loved ones is very important. To this end we have STARLINK onboard which will give good coverage in most (if not all) areas where we sail and anchor. As such internet access is on a fair usage basis, we ask that guests keep this in mind and use accordingly.
  • Are there any age restrictions?
Guests must be at least 18 years old. There is no upper age limit. Under 18s can join if accompanied by an adult. Please contact us before booking to ensure the trip is suitable for under 18s.
  • Do we anchor every night?
We alternate between anchoring and marinas, giving guests time to stretch their legs after a day's sailing. Weather conditions will dictate our choices to ensure a restful sleep.
  • Can I book a single berth or do I need to charter the whole boat?
You don't have to charter the whole boat. We offer trips by the berth, with all berths being single beds. You won't share with anyone else and won't need to pay a supplement to avoid sharing.
  • Are meals provided?
All meals will be provided on board, but guests will have the option to dine ashore if desired. Dining ashore will be at the guests cost. You will be asked for food preferences prior to you trip, and we will do our best to accommodate requests.
  • Is the skipper qualified?
Yes, our main skipper is a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore in both Sail and Power with many thousands of miles under his belt in both categories. Any other skippers will be Yachtmaster Offshore qualified as a minimum.
  • Do you provide life jackets?
You will be given a life jacket on arrival which you will keep for the duration of the trip? Our life jackets have additional man over board safety beacons fitted.
  • Will I get seasick?
Even the most experienced sailors can suffer from seasickness. Many people take preventative medicine before travel, and this is at the discretion of each guest. Please note that we cannot provide any medicine, but if you are concerned, please contact us to discuss further.
  • How many can be accommodated?
We have 6 single berths for guests, and additional accommodation for crew.
  • Can we book as a couple?
For sure. Where possible, we will provide a twin cabin. We can confirm this at time of booking.
  • Do I require insurance?
We recommend getting insurance that covers adventures including sailing holidays.
  • How long will we sail each day?
This will depend on conditions and where we are trying to get go. There may be time where we leave early, or arrive later in the day, which to a degree is dictated by the tides, which can be quite strong in certain areas.
  • Does the boat have safety equipment?
Yes, the boat has life raft and other required safety equipment. The boat also exceeds the safety requirements for MCA Cat 2 coding.
  • Do you provide waterproofs?
We do have waterproofs that our guests can use free of charge. Please check for size availability with us before your trip. We use Musto Performace salopettes and jackets.
  • How do you accommodate women who travel alone?
Women will only share a cabin with another woman. Noonmark has a private twin cabin forward which is perfect for this occasion.
  • Do I need to have sailing experience?
Our trips are designed for guests of all experience levels. You can either participate in the sailing of the boat, or simply sit back and enjoy the trip if you prefer.
